Welcome to Evelyn Sutton Art

Evelyn Sutton is a Brazilian-American artist who growing up in Brazil was greatly influenced by the tropical themes, vibrant colors, and joie de vivre of the culture. In art, she finds her greatest fulfillment and expression of self. She currently resides in beautiful Melbourne, Florida with her husband and their four children, together they run Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team. Besides being passionate about art, Evelyn also publishes Jiujiteira Magazine, a publication dedicated to support and empower women in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA.

In her artistic career, for three decades Evelyn worked as a graphic designer and Creative Director responsible for a miriad of successful projects. An avid art lover, ten years ago, she picked up a paint brush and her creations were immediately celebrated with a great number of her paintings sold, displayed in art galleries and exhibitions throughout the country. Currently, her favorite theme are portraits and preferred medium is oil on canvas. 

As an artist, Evelyn draws inspiration from everywhere: art, photography, fashion, music, culture, her childhood, relationships and the great outdoors. Living in Florida, being close to nature and the beach, she often visits the ocean which provides wonderful moments of inspiration, fun and tranquility. Traveling and visiting new destinations is another great source of creativity for her and often sparks ideas for paintings. Evelyn's favorite artists include Picasso, Frida Khalo and Caravaggio.
